    Description

    Up for auction is an early collector quality Smith & Wesson 78G .22 Cal CO2 pistol. It is in original box that in my opinion is in very nice shape along with the foam as well. Smith & Wesson made these pistols from 1970 to 1978.
    On the top of the box there was tape that was removed (see photo) that took some of the printing off by a previous owner. I found the tape piece in the box so it could be re-applied to fill in the end of "Wesson" and below if desired.
    GENERAL INFORMATION:
    1).  Serial #:   Q017435   (Exterior of box was originally marked with the 4 & 3 transposed then corrected)
    2).  Adjustable trigger      (early guns)
    3).  Brown Grips              (early guns)
    4).  Black paint                (early guns)
    5).  Two Stage Cocking   (early guns)
    Box contains original S/W pellet tin with 80 pellets (Yes, I counted them :). Has original S/W CO2 cartridge box with four full cartridges and one empty one (filler). The cartridges as plain with no markings so I don't believe they are S/W units? An original Owners Manual and Allen wrench for the trigger adjustment (the wrench will be placed in the pellet tin for safe keeping and shipping)
    I shot the pistol on 10/29/2022 and it shot strong and accurately. I noted an extremely small leak sound from the bottom of the piercing knob at first which went away as a few shots were made.
    Overall a beautiful, desirable working pistol in collector quality condition (my opinion).
