Relic Patina: Brass ox patina is not universal nor is it all of the same quality. I have finally achieved what I consider the perfect brass ox color which I am now referring to as Relic Patina. Relic Patina offers a true non-uniform aged look that gives the entire relic line an authentic real look of being old. Artists who strive to recreate the past will be impressed and should be a huge consideration when selecting metal for your finished look. It could be the defining difference if you make the sale or not, The entire relic line is high quality brass stampings sourced the USA, France, Germany and even vintage piece I find. Each Relic piece is hand distressed and have been sealed with a protective coating. Hand finished in the USA.
Immortelle Brass ie: Relic Patina, Noir Brass and Empire Silver by Immortelle Bijouterie contains no lead, nickel or cadmium. Immortelle Bijouterie will offer a full line of products to include prong settings, ring blanks, jump rings, earring wires, earring drops, chain and pendant pieces. We will also offer rare vintage stones masterfully set in our custom finished USA settings, for the jewelry artist or admirer who wishes to craft with ease.
Open back settings vs. closed back settings has long been a debate. While the closed back setting protects foiled stones better - the closed setting can also collect and hold moisture resulting in damaged stones. Personally I like open back settings, they are half the weight of normal settings, they have more general flexibility if you are using unfoiled stones or decide to take the foil off your vintage stones AND they do not retain moisture.
95% of our findings are made here in the USA. 100% of our finishing is hand applied here in the USA <3
